All states, with the exception of South Australia, have rural and/or regional training sites. In New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT these include training places with rural services based in inner regional areas.  A limited number of placements with visiting services are available in South Australia and New South Wales.  It should be noted that the retrospective analysis used for this report (see Table 2, Figure 1) could not distinguish either of the latter types of placement.
